Design for God

It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. - IS 55:11

When God speaks, powerful things take place. IS 55:11 says His Word never returns void; it always accomplishes its purpose.  When we learn to speak God’s Word instead of rehearsing how we feel or declaring what we think, we are also releasing power. The Word of God spoken in faith from a believer’s mouth can change circumstances. God compares His Word to seed. When we plant the seed by speaking it, praying it, believing it, and acting upon it, it will produce what it says. God promises us that it will produce! Speak God’s Word regularly and believe what it says more than you believe your circumstances. Hold fast your confession of faith in Him and soon you will be sharing your testimony of victory with others.

In IS 43:2, God tells us that He will be with us as we go through the water and through the fire. This means that we will have to face some tests and trials in our lives. They can not be avoided. There will be some difficult things that we have to go through. Whatever the challenges are, they are intended to strengthen you, to develop your character, to cause you to persevere, to purify you, to teach you the unique lessons of suffering, and to make you a better person.

I have been through many tests and trials. I have faced loneliness, obstacles, and persecution. There have been times when I wanted to give up, and in the midst of those times, God always came through. The hard time may feel like a flood or a fire to you, but it serves a great purpose, and God is going to take you through to the other side. He is going to use it to strengthen you, change you, and advance His purpose for your life.

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. - IS 43:2

God did not deliver Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from the fire. He delivered them through the fire. Maybe you are going through the fire today, know that God is with you. He’s doing a work in you, and He’s displaying His glory through you. Remember, on the other side of the fire is a place of abundance and blessing! Stand strong and see the fulfillment of the promises He has in store for you.

When God is for you, no one can win against you. Not the pain of your past. Not any mistake you’ve made. Not the forces of hell, your worst enemy, a bad economy, a difficult housing market or anything else on this earth. With God on your side, you are headed for victory all the days of your life.

God knows your needs before you even speak them. He wants to provide for you and answer the very desires of your heart. Don’t ever think God is too busy to answer you. Don’t even think your needs are too small or that you don’t matter. The truth is that He cares about everything that concerns you, and He loves to hear you call upon His name.

IS 65:24 - I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!

Keep on asking, and you will receive. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you - Matt 7:7

Is there something you are believing God for today? Does it seem like it’s taking a long time to come to pass? Be encouraged because the Bible says that through faith and patience you will inherit His promises! If you’ll stay in faith, if you’ll keep on seeking Him, it won’t be long until you see that breakthrough!

The problem is that most people give up just before they get their miracle. They stop when things get hard or when they don’t get the answer they want the first time. But today’s verse encourages us to continually ask and continually seek. That doesn’t mean that we seek Him one time and then stop. No, we seek Him until we have the promise!

Today, submit your prayers to the Lord and keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. Keep asking. Keep seeking. Keep knocking on the door, and it will be opened to you. Know that God is working behind the scenes. He perfecting whatever concerns you. Don’t give up!

Do you see God as a rewarder today?
Notice this verse doesn’t say that God rewards those who “deserve” it or have “earned” it. It doesn’t say that God rewards those who act perfectly and never make mistakes. No, God’s blessing isn’t based on our performance, it’s based on our faith — our belief in Him and His goodness. In fact, one verse says that He longs to be good to those who are looking for His goodness!

I encourage you today to spend some time meditating on His goodness and dwelling on His faithfulness. Look for Him and expect Him to act. Spend some time reading the Psalms and begin to praise and thank Him for all He is doing. Open your eyes of faith and see all of the wonderful things He has prepared for you. Let His Word shape your thoughts, and remember He is a rewarder! He wants to bless you today because you earnestly seek after Him!

Leaning on the Lord means depending on Him. What do you do when you lean on something? You trusting it will hold you up. When you lean on God it means more than just “I believe in God.” It means, “I am trusting Him to hold me up.”

Who or what are you leaning on for strength? Are you leaning on the approval of other people? That is a very shaky foundation. People are going to let you down. Nobody can hold you up all the time because they’re human beings.

You can’t even trust in yourself. Have you discovered that you often let yourself down? You make promises to yourself all the time you don’t keep. If you say, “I’ll just depend on me!” you’ll disappoint yourself. So what do you do?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5 NIV)

Leaning on the Lord is scary. It’s uncomfortable sometimes. It can make you think, “Is God going to come through? Is He going to hold me up?” But that’s what leaning in faith is all about.

If God’s Word says that we are more than conquerors through Christ, then we are. We are not going to become, we already are. We may be experiencing some failures or setbacks in life right now, but only good will come out of our situations because God says that ‚”in all these things we are more than conquer- ors‚”. We have the victory!

You see, God has placed us in Christ, whom He has exalted to the highest place in the universe. We are not trying to get to victory ground. We are already on victory ground. We don’t confess God’s Word to get victory. We confess His Word because we already have the victory. We don’t fight for victory. We fight from victory.

The devil will try to steal our victory. He will come against us with lies and fears, and cause us to be conscious of our failures, weaknesses and symptoms in areas such as our health. But we are not trying to be healed. We are already healed because God’s Word declares that ‚”by His stripes we are healed‚”. (Isaiah 53:5)

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

We all need God’s direction in our lives. Oftentimes, the Lord will instruct us to do something that’s just the opposite of what our natural mind thinks we should do. Sometimes it doesn’t make sense, but God’s principles are very different from the world’s principles. In the natural, it doesn’t make sense that if you are in need you should give to someone else — you have to sow a seed if you want to reap a harvest. You can trust God’s word that says, “What you sow, you shall reap.” You can trust that God’s system is set up for your good. His system is set up to prosper you and not harm you. He wants to give you a future and a hope (Jer 29:11). As you step out and trust God and obey His Word—even when you don’t understand—He promises to direct your paths.
